Aqueous zinc battery firm Eos Energy Storage has made a swathe of C-level appointments as it looks to progress its global energy storage reach.
The US company named Joe Mastrangelo (pictured) as its new chief executive officer, Kevin Walsh as senior commercial advisor, and Mack Treece as chief financial officer on 23 July.
Mastrangelo stepped in as CEO after serving as the company’s board advisor since last August. He moves from being president and CEO of Gas Power Systems for GE Power.
Walsh was hired to guide the company’s strategy and commercial operations. Most recently he was managing director and head of US Renewable Energy at GE Energy Financial Services.
Treece moves from Viridity Energy Solutions where he was the CEO, having served the company as both COO and CFO.
BEST Battery Briefing reported earlier this year that Eos’ Aurora 2.0 battery system had been selected for energy storage projects in North Carolina and California.
