China’s Jinko ESS and Türkiye’s Taliva Energy have signed contracts covering a 400MWh portfolio of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across multiple utility-scale developments in Eastern Europe.
The agreement, announced during Intersolar Europe in Munich, expands the partnership between the two companies and covers projects in Romania, Türkiye and other Eastern European markets. Taliva Energy develops large-scale energy infrastructure and energy storage projects across Europe, while Jinko ESS will supply energy storage systems for the portfolio.
According to the companies, the projects are intended to improve grid flexibility, increase renewable energy utilisation, enhance energy resilience and support the integration of renewable generation into European electricity networks. The portfolio totals 400MWh of storage capacity across several developments.

The signing ceremony took place during Intersolar Europe and, according to the companies, reflects growing demand across Europe for utility-scale battery storage systems capable of supporting grid stability as renewable energy deployment increases.
Jinko ESS said it will continue to work with Taliva Energy on system integration, project delivery and lifecycle services as the projects move forward.
