Kandi Technologies Group has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, China Battery Exchange, has signed a Framework Procurement Contract with CATL to supply standardised, high-performance battery swap station equipment and support solutions.
The agreement positions China Battery Exchange as an official equipment supplier for CATL’s ambitious ‘Ten Thousand Station Plan’.
Under the contract, the equipment and solutions include main station structures, robotic arm systems, and temperature-controlled battery compartments. With CATL aiming to deploy 500 stations this year and over 10,000 across mainland China in the long term, the partnership is expected to generate substantial demand for equipment and services. Coordination has already begun on the first heavy-truck battery swap station, with delivery expected within three months and small-batch production to follow.
Kandi Technologies’ intelligent battery swapping system features nine core modules and offers one-click operation, 90-second swaps, automated billing, and real-time monitoring. Zhong Huan Electric, established in 2020, supports this effort with integrated hardware, software, and operational solutions.
Feng Chen, CEO of Kandi Technologies, commented, “This partnership between China Battery Exchange and CATL represents a quintessential example of the synergy between a dedicated equipment supplier and an ecosystem leader. We are providing more than just advanced hardware, as we are helping accelerate the rollout of battery swap networks with standardised, intelligent solutions. This collaboration is set to unlock significant growth opportunities for Kandi Technologies within the new energy infrastructure sector.”
