Kepco has made several enhancements to its EL series of one to five KW single and dual channel electronic loads. The changes will make the EL series suitable for a wider range of applications.
The EL Series is a line of modular air-cooled, DC electronic loads used to test power sources such as batteries, power supplies, generators, chargers, fuel cells, etc.
The changes include attaining CE marking for both the low voltage directive (LVD) and the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) directive. The range now has an increased current capability of all low voltage models up to 800 Amps at five KW and a transient capability of 50 microseconds to ten seconds
Another improved feature is to the repeating transients, which repeat every 100 microseconds to 10 seconds from 2 to 10,000 times. Output changes have been improved, leading and trailing ramps now range from 100 microseconds to ten seconds. Finally, customers can choose a universal AC input 108-264 V AC, 50-60 Hz
“These new features have been added in response to customer feedback and will enable the EL series to find a wider range of applications, especially in the battery test and alternative energy markets.” said Saul Kupferberg, VP of Sales and Marketing for Kepco.
