Kight PowerHub has unveiled a new AI-enabled home energy storage system designed to reduce emissions and energy costs while eliminating fire risk.
Developed over five years in collaboration with five Scottish social housing organisations and drawing on F1 engineering expertise, the UK-designed and assembled system introduces several industry firsts.
The 10kWh PowerHub uses a unique battery chemistry that ensures full capacity availability at all times and the longest lifespan in the market. It is backed by full insurance and engineered for zero fire risk.
Kight PowerHub has completed extensive R&D, with 10 units scheduled for market trials this summer. The system combines a previously unused chemistry in domestic batteries with a design that delivers competitive pricing and consistent performance in all weather conditions. It is also said to offer the longest warranty currently available in the energy storage sector.
The system is managed by EnergiFlow, Kight’s proprietary AI software developed in the UK. EnergiFlow optimises energy use, adapts to user patterns, and reduces costs under flexible tariffs – eliminating the need for residents to manually interact with the battery.
Capable of charging from solar or grid sources, the PowerHub supports energy resilience by automatically supplying power during outages. Its safety profile and cost-saving potential have made it a preferred choice for social housing providers.

The first deployment of the PowerHub will be announced next month, with broader availability through partners expected in 2026.
