LG Energy Solution has announced that its battery energy storage system (BESS) has qualified as NVIDIA DSX Ready, strengthening its position in power infrastructure for AI-focused environments.
The NVIDIA DSX Ready programme recognises partner products and solutions that meet applicable requirements within NVIDIA DSX reference designs. It is intended to help customers identify components for AI factories, with the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform bringing together compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities and software.
LG Energy Solution’s BESS meets the applicable requirements for AC energy storage solutions. The company said the system is designed to accelerate time-to-power while addressing power management requirements including AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through and power reliability.
The qualified system features modular 2.5 MW/5.1 MWh battery blocks, allowing deployments to be scaled and capacity expanded as power and energy requirements change. Its integrated AC configuration supports grid-forming capability, rapid response, voltage ride-through and AI load smoothing.
The AC solution architecture is also designed to meet applicable UL and NFPA requirements for safety and reliability.
LG Energy Solution has developed a localised North American ESS supply chain covering battery cell manufacturing, pack production and system integration. Through five regional production facilities, the company plans to reach more than 50 GWh of LFP battery cell production capacity by the end of 2026.
The company said this manufacturing footprint is intended to support rising demand from data centres, infrastructure projects and utility-scale energy storage developments.
LG Energy Solution also provides system integration capabilities, alongside DC battery containers and PCS-integrated AC battery container solutions. Its offering includes IRA-compliant solutions eligible for applicable Investment Tax Credit incentives and a localised service network across North America.
“Being selected as a partner for NVIDIA’s first-ever DSX Ready program validates the strength and competitiveness of our BESS products,” said Chang Beom Kang, Head of ESS Battery Division at LG Energy Solution. “Building on our differentiated local manufacturing capabilities and technology leadership, we will further expand our digital infrastructure business and accelerate growth in this rapidly evolving market.”
