Lithium-ion electrode design and engineering start-up Besstech has announced Doug Grose as its Chief Technology Officer.
Grose will lead the US firm’s development of its technology roadmap, driving advances in its silicon-based anodes for lithium-ion battery applications.
The addition is designed to accelerate the commercialisation and market introduction of Besstech’s technology – which uses nanoengineered silicide structures and Chemical Vapor Deposition in the manufacturing process.
Grose has previously served as CEO of semiconductor foundry company Global Foundries and held senior leadership roles at AMD, IBM, now SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Albany.
Founded in 2010, Besstech is a spin-off of, SUNY Polytechnic Institute – Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering.
