A six‑day virtual industrial auction is set to showcase a substantial range of machinery and equipment from a late‑model lithium‑ion battery manufacturing plant previously used for electric vehicle and energy storage system applications.
Hosted by BidItUp Auctions Worldwide, the live webcast will run on 31 March and 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8 April, starting at 10:00 a.m. ET each day, featuring assets from a large‑scale facility in Midland, Michigan.
The sale offers a rare chance for manufacturers, integrators and technology firms to secure equipment from a 400,000‑square‑foot production site built for high‑volume lithium‑ion pouch cell output. The plant includes high‑bay clearance, Class 10,000 to Class 1,000 clean and dry rooms, along with fully integrated automated production lines.
BidItUp notes that the equipment reflects a billion‑dollar investment in advanced battery production systems, including automated pouch‑cell lines with parallel anode and cathode processing capable of both solvent‑based (NMP) and aqueous methods. These assets support scalable production for sectors such as EVs, maritime, aerospace and grid‑scale storage.
“This auction presents a unique chance for global manufacturers to immediately access advanced lithium‑ion production infrastructure without the long lead times associated with building new facilities,” said Tara Shaikh, CEO of BidItUp Auctions Worldwide. “Companies seeking to expand battery manufacturing capacity can acquire proven equipment and integrated systems from a sophisticated, turnkey manufacturing environment.”
Featured items include automated module and pack assembly lines, slurry mixing systems, coating lines, formation and grading equipment, laboratory and QA assets, vacuum systems, instrumentation and a wide range of support tools. Each auction day will focus on a different stage of the production process, and interested bidders can view the full catalogue and register through BidItUp’s platform.
