It is not enough to develop a product these days, whether new technology succeeds or fails is arguable down to the marketing— just look at how much money is spent on booths at conferences.
And so it was no big surprise when one week ahead of Australian battery manufacturer Redflow’s residential battery launch they appointed media savvy Patrick Tapper to its board.
Tapper, a former colleague of Redflow’s executive chairman Simon Hackett, will hold a non-executive role as ASX-listed Redflow starts its next phase of growth.
Tapper was appointed for his ‘business experience’ gained after 25 years in the telecommunications, technology, media, and entertainment industries.
Hackett said: “With Redflow about to launch its residential battery product, the board believes Pat’s experience and insight will make a valuable contribution.”
Earlier this month BBB reported how Redflow had opened a battery laboratory to progress its software and to enable its zinc bromide flow batteries to be used with multiple inverters.
The Adelaide based laboratory will develop battery management system software for Redflow’s 10kWh residential battery.
