Another week another electric vehicle OEM has announced it is to enter into the energy storage sector using second life lithium-ion batteries.
This time Japan’s Mitsubishi Motors Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation are teaming up with a French utility firm to launch a joint demonstration project
The project is in partnership with Electricite de France (EDF), Forsee Power, a key provider of energy storage solutions sponsored by EDF, and PSA Peugeot Citroen.
The System includes a 330v ESS made from Peugeot iOn, Citroen C-Zero and Mitsubishi Motors i-MiEV battery packs.
The demonstration project will be inaugurated in September 2015 at Forsee Power’s new Headquarters near Paris, France.
