Boston law firm Sherin and Lodgen (S&L) has expanded its Solar Energy practice and in doing so created a national Renewable Energy Practice Group, which will assist with the legal needs of those in the energy storage and renewable energy markets.
The newly formed group will be chaired by firm partner Bethany Bartlett (pictured), and will represent “lenders, developers, municipalities and companies committed to sustainability” by providing “a wide range of legal services to help clients achieve their financial, real estate and environmental goals”.
The range of services that the practice group will assist with includes the “purchase and sale of renewable energy projects”, overseeing “engineering, procurement, and construction contracts with third party contractors”, and the “negotiation of energy savings agreements for manufacturing entities.”
“We are witnessing a nationwide transformation to clean energy as the cost of renewable energy decreased and the investment into new, sustainable technologies increases”, commented S&L Managing Partner Douglas Henry. “We look forward to further expanding our services to support companied investing in this maturing market.”
