NatPower Marine, part of NatPower Group, has signed an agreement to acquire the Aqua superPower international charging network from ATV Power.
Aqua superPower operates Europe’s largest electric‑boat charging network, with more than 80 ports and marinas across Europe and North America, including locations such as the French and Italian Rivieras, Venice, Trieste, Genoa, Lake Maggiore, Lake Geneva, Sweden, Barcelona, the UK South Coast, San Francisco Bay, Lake Tahoe, San Diego and Lake Michigan.
The acquisition will integrate Aqua superPower’s operational footprint into the NatPower Marine platform, supporting its ambition to extend marine electrification beyond leisure boating into major commercial ports. NatPower Marine said the move strengthens its ability to deliver energy infrastructure as a coordinated, scalable system.
Fabrizio Zago, CEO of NatPower, stated: “This transaction marks a decisive step forward for us: we are no longer just developing infrastructure, but building a platform capable of operating on an international scale.” Stewart Wilkinson, CEO of ATV Power, added: “Joining NatPower Marine enables us to scale our platform faster and extend our reach, building on the network we have already developed.”
The combined platform aims to overcome fragmentation in maritime electrification by aligning energy access, grid connections, permitting, financing and operations. It brings together an existing charging network, a pipeline of port and marina projects, capital access and coordinated execution. Aqua superPower provides a fully funded turnkey solution to enable marinas and other waterside locations to benefit from the shift to electric boating without any upfront cost.
The agreement was presented at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, where NatPower Marine took part in discussions on sustainable marine energy and supported a hydrogen refuelling demonstration. Aqua superPower also provided its floating E‑Dock for electric‑boat charging, continuing its long‑standing support for the event.
