US lithium-ion battery firm Navitas Systems has named Jeff Cunningham as new director of federal business development to focus on military and government battery product sales.
Cunningham will be responsible for growing Navitas Systems’ military battery customer base and expanding the company’s programmes with the federal government.
Cunningham has over 25 years experience in the military and federal business development community, focusing on department of defence initiatives. Prior to Navitas Systems, Cunningham managed cross-functional teams to make business pursuit decisions and build partner relationships at federal systems integrators SAIC and General Dynamics.
“I’m particularly excited to help introduce Navitas’ recently announced new ‘Ultanium’ 6T lithium military vehicle batteries to military branches and to the Ground Combat Vehicle OEMs. Over the next few months, we’re going to build off Navitas’ historical success and introduce additional new products to both the federal and commercial sectors,” said Cunningham.
“Jeff’s background as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army coupled with over twenty years of accomplishments at major defence industry firms provide Navitas with an exemplary leader,” said Les Alexander, general manager of Navitas Systems’ Advanced Solutions Group.
