Envision Energy has entered into a strategic partnership with FERA Australia to deliver large-scale hybrid energy projects across the National Electricity Market (NEM), marking a significant milestone in Australia’s clean energy transition.
The collaboration sets the stage for up to 1GW of wind power and 1.5GWh of battery energy storage, leveraging Envision’s integrated technology platform. This includes advanced full-converter wind turbines, containerised battery systems, grid-forming power conversion systems (PCS), and its proprietary Hybrid Power Plant Controller (HPPC).
“This collaboration represents a major step forward in demonstrating how hybrid wind and storage solutions can unlock new possibilities for Australia’s energy future,” said Kane Xu, SVP and president of International Product Line of Envision Energy. “We are honoured by the trust FERA Australia has placed in our technical capabilities across wind, storage, and grid integration, and we look forward to delivering projects that set new benchmarks for clean, flexible power.”
The initiative will begin with a pilot project in Victoria, showcasing Envision’s hybrid energy architecture in a grid-connected plant. The project aims to demonstrate enhanced grid stability, new value streams, and a replicable model for future deployments.
By combining FERA’s local development expertise with Envision’s global technology leadership, the partnership seeks to accelerate Australia’s shift toward a resilient, low-carbon energy system.
