NGK Corporation has launched EnerCerLight Stage, a battery-powered illuminated base for acrylic display stands that uses the company’s EnerCera lithium-ion rechargeable battery technology.
The product, which was recently used as official merchandise for a virtual live event based on the Japanese anime series Oshi no Ko, combines an ultra-thin battery with a compact lighting system designed for display and collectible applications.

At the heart of the device is NGK’s EnerCera Pouch battery, a semi-solid-state lithium-ion cell measuring 0.45mm thick. According to the company, the battery has been designed to reduce the risk of ignition and excessive heat generation while maintaining a thin, lightweight form factor.
NGK said the battery technology allows electronic functions to be incorporated into products that must remain compact and visually unobtrusive, without the need for bulky protective housings.
The company said the illuminated base is intended for applications where both safety and compact size are important, including event merchandise used at concerts and exhibitions, products distributed internationally, and display or collectible items where additional weight or bulk would be undesirable.
The device is rechargeable via USB-C.
NGK said EnerCera batteries are currently being evaluated by more than 800 companies worldwide, particularly for wearable devices and other products that come into close contact with users. The launch of EnerCerLight Stage extends the technology into the entertainment merchandise sector.
EnerCera is the company’s proprietary lithium-ion rechargeable battery technology, developed for applications requiring thin, lightweight and flexible power sources.
