SimpliPhi Power and CivicSolar partner up to bring their latest lithium ferrous phosphate energy storage system (ESS) to market.
Called AccESS, the ESS will be marketed to residential installers in California for the Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP).
The AccESS all-in-one-box storage system from SimpliPhi is a consociation with solar and energy storage installers for “reliable” power security.
According to the company, AccESS is an easy plug-and-play ESS that can integrate power storage into new and existing solar installations, both on and off grid, with a 10,000 cycle warranty and 10-year lifespan.
The technology includes a Schneider Electric inverter charge controller, associated power electronics and overall system management all in one box.
The SGIP would be reopened by April 2017, reserves incentives specifically for residential energy storage projects of 10kW or less, with incentive levels decreasing as demand grows.
Catherine Von Burg, the CEO of SimpliPhi said: “The AccESS allows installers to eliminate the complexities of ancillary equipment necessary for thermal monitoring.
“They can now standardise on an integrated solution without the risk of thermal runaway or fire characteristic of cobalt-based lithium batteries and safely install energy storage inside or outside the home.”
She said the reason of teaming up with CivicSolar was they have a dedicated, technically savvy sales team that supports customers through the complicated SGIP reservation and system design process.
“Our knowledgeable team are expert at the solar-plus-storage landscape and aim to simplify everything from design and procurement to financing and applying for incentives for these systems,” said CivicSolar’s Product Manager Owen Fox.
