Prestone will unveil its advanced EVX™ thermal management fluids at The Battery Show North America, held in Detroit from 6–9 October 2025.
The Prestone EVX range is engineered to meet the growing demands of electrified vehicles, offering low conductivity, robust corrosion protection, and chemical stability for both light and heavy-duty EVs. These fluids have undergone rigorous testing to ensure safety in high-voltage environments, positioning them as next-generation solutions for EV thermal management.
Prestone’s EVX formulations are among the first to meet China’s GB29743.2 standard, now launching ahead of schedule on 1 October 2025. This regulation, focused on reducing coolant conductivity to enhance EV safety, is expected to influence global standards. The EVX fluids also comply with the ASTM D8566 standard.
“Our technologies are designed not only to meet today’s EV demands but to anticipate tomorrow’s,” said Tom Corrigan, director of EV and Electrification Technology, Prestone.
The EVX portfolio includes phosphate-based, silicate-based, and non-ionic inhibitor technologies, each tailored to specific EV and fuel cell requirements. Proprietary testing with Exoes – an electromobility thermal management testing company – demonstrated the fluids’ superior safety performance under 800V conditions, where conventional coolants failed.
