QuantumScape Corporation has confirmed the completion of a key 2025 target – installation of advanced equipment to enable higher-volume QSE-5 cell production at its San Jose facility.
The company’s Eagle Line, a highly automated pilot production line, is designed to underpin future gigawatt-hour scale manufacturing through QuantumScape’s technology licensing partners. This milestone marks a significant step in the company’s scale-up ambitions, positioning the Eagle Line as a critical bridge between pilot-scale and commercial deployment.
To celebrate the achievement, QuantumScape will host an inauguration event at its San Jose headquarters in February 2026. The occasion will bring together customer representatives, technology partners, and government officials, offering attendees a guided showcase of the Eagle Line’s capabilities.
“Completing this annual goal and inaugurating the Eagle Line is a crucial step forward in our scale-up strategy,” said Dr Siva Sivaram, CEO and president of QuantumScape. “The Eagle Line features our groundbreaking Cobra separator process combined with highly automated battery cell production. It is intended, upon ramp-up, to satisfy customer demand for QSE-5 cells and support future technology demonstrations.”
