Quintus Technologies has signed an MOU with Guangdong Lyric Robot Automation to advance integrated manufacturing solutions for the fast‑developing all‑solid‑state battery (ASSB) sector.
The agreement brings together Quintus’ expertise in isostatic press technology and Lyric Robot’s automation capabilities to support the shift from early demonstration phases to pilot‑line expansion and large‑scale industrial production of ASSB technologies.
As demand grows for higher energy density, improved consistency and stringent safety in ASSBs, the collaboration aims to deliver scalable and efficient systems designed for next‑generation cell manufacturing.
Quintus CEO Johan Hjärne said, “By combining our Quintus high-pressure platform with Lyric’s automation expertise and extensive production-line experience, we can support customers investing in both pilot-line development and full-scale industrialisation.”
The partnership will focus on joint technical development programmes that integrate Quintus’ high‑pressure isostatic pressing with Lyric’s automation technologies. Planned activities include engineering studies, proof‑of‑concept trials, system integration testing and the co‑development of technical proposals tailored to customer requirements.
These efforts align with Quintus’ wider battery‑press strategy, including its pilot‑press initiatives designed to give manufacturers access to industrial‑scale densification technologies. The companies expect this combined approach to accelerate learning cycles, validate material performance and smooth the transition from research to full commercialisation.
Both organisations will also collaborate on marketing initiatives to highlight the benefits of pairing high‑pressure densification with intelligent automation.
Dr Du Yixian of Lyric Robot noted, “Isostatic pressing technology, as a critical process in the large-scale production of solid-state batteries, plays a decisive role in enhancing battery energy density, consistency and safety.”
