The Florida International Battery Seminar has honoured its founder, Dr Shep Wolsky, who died last year aged 91.
Organisers of the event have renamed the Battery Innovator Award presented at the annual gathering as the ‘Shep Wolsky Battery Innovator Award’.
And Shep (pictured) himself became the posthumous first recipient of the renamed prize, which was presented last month to his family— daughters Amy Wolsky, Joyce DeVita and son-in-law Thom DeVita.
Shep founded the seminar on his retirement and he ran the event for 32 years, before selling up to Cambridge Enertech two years ago.
