Plasma technology company Rimere has announced that its portfolio of nanocarbon and graphene materials is available for testing and evaluation.
This includes its two initial products, which are branched nanocarbon spheres and crumpled graphene sheets, that have been moved into production.
The firm said its branched nanocarbon spheres material is ideal for use in the concrete, polymer and automotive industries.
Crumpled graphene is a sheet form of graphene which has a high electrical and thermal conductivity. These are properties used to improve capacitors, batteries, paints and coatings.
The company has already started shipping nanocarbon and graphene material with partners in multiple sectors, as well as testing programmes.
This comes after the firm announced an advancement in its sequential hybrid plasma methane pyrolysis process that is said to now consistently produce varying grades and scalable quantities of nanocarbon materials. This includes high-purity graphene.
The global nanocarbon material market is expected to be worth over $32.8 billion by 2033, from $4.1 billion in 2023. This is with a compound annual growth rate of 27.7% in the projected period, according to market research company Spherical Insight.
