Schneider Electric has launched the Schneider Boost Pro BESS, a new battery energy storage system designed to support commercial and industrial buildings across Europe with advanced energy management capabilities.
The scalable Boost Pro BESS helps businesses reduce energy costs, cut carbon emissions and maintain operational continuity. Schneider Boost Pro supports the EU’s energy transition, where renewables now supply 50% of electricity, but challenges remain due to intermittency and grid constraints.
Schneider Boost Pro enhances flexibility and stability in power supply and is suitable for depot environments and transit infrastructure, including heavy-duty vehicle charging and roadside installations. Scalable from 200kWh to 2MWh by combining up to 10 units, it forms part of Schneider Electric’s integrated energy solution, which includes EV chargers, edge control, software and services.
Use cases include:
- Self-consumption optimisation: Stores surplus renewable energy to boost independence.
- Extra power allocation: Balances site energy use and provides backup during outages.
- Tariff management: Charges off-peak and discharges during peak hours to reduce costs.
- Revenue generation: Responds to TSO signals for flexible energy use and income.
Key features include certified cyber security, AI-driven insights via EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor, and tailored service plans with remote maintenance.
