Eglingham, Northumberland-based Calibrate Energy, a company specialising in renewable heat pump technology that can be managed and maintained off site, has launched a UK operation.
Founded by Shane and Susie McDonald and originally launched in New Zealand, the owners recently sold up their NZ operation to launch in the UK.
The company claims that its heat pump technology can save businesses up to 30% on their overall maintenance costs through the remote monitoring system that it includes on all its installations.
Shane McDonald explains: “At the moment, most, if not all, companies who install any type of heating system – be this a boiler or renewable energy solution – have to allocate a substantial budget for the maintenance of that system. And in the case of companies who have multiple sites, this cost can be particularly high.
“What we provide is a complete remote monitoring system where we can identify and put something right, in many cases, before it’s even been spotted on site.”
With a network of clients spanning the country, Calibrate Energy was recently offered funding from angel investors to support the rapid growth of the unique technology behind the business, it says in a statement.
“We are very proud to be providing our customers with leading edge technology never before used or available in this country,” continues McDonald. “We’re very passionate about sourcing and using the very best technology and retrofitting this to suit the customer need. All our clients can be absolutely reassured that they’re getting the very best, most technologically advanced equipment on the market, that will deliver the very best performance and is bespoke to their business requirements.”
