Solidion Technology has unveiled a next-generation UPS battery system tailored for the high-demand AI data centre sector.
The PEAK Series, which stands for Power, Energy, Anode, Knowledge, integrates Solidion’s proprietary 5500 battery cell. This advanced cell design uses silicon-carbon anode technology to deliver enhanced energy density, reliability and cost efficiency – key attributes for modern data infrastructure.
“AI data centres are among the most demanding and fastest-growing segments in the global power infrastructure market,” said Jaymes Winters, CEO of Solidion. “Our PEAK Series directly addresses the industry’s need for compact, efficient and sustainable backup power solutions, enabling customers to support the exponential power demands of AI workloads.”
Solidion’s UPS battery system offers several advantages for data centre operators:
- Up to 30% space reduction, freeing up valuable floor space and reducing system weight
- Lower total cost of ownership, thanks to simplified maintenance and assembly
- Extended battery life, with the 5500 cell lasting up to three times longer than conventional systems
- Programme-level savings, through streamlined rack, pack, and harness configurations
