In lead-acid batteries, there are two basic designs: flat plate and tubular plate. The previous article described the grid gravity casting method for producing flat plates for applications such as SLI and AGM designs. The tubular plate is designed exclusively for deep cycle applications. It is arguably considered to be the highest-cycling lead-acid design available.
