Italian engineering, procurement and construction management company STC and US battery recycler ACE Green Recycling announced a Memorandum of Understanding for construction of battery recycling facilities.
STC specialises in building plants and equipment for battery recycling and lead production. It will provide manufacturing of recycling equipment and overall engineering and project management activities to ACE.
The pair will integrate technologies for recycling lead and lithium-ion batteries. They will also explore opportunities for licensing and co-marketing their battery recycling technologies.
Meredith Matthews of ACE Green said specific projects are still in development and remain confidential. They include lead-acid battery projects in Europe and the US, she said.
