US battery manufacturer Stryten Energy has agreed a licensing agreement worth more than $30 million with Dragonfly Energy to market its lithium-ion Battle Born Batteries brand.
The agreement will grant exclusive licensing rights to Stryten to market and distribute Dragonfly Energy’s Battle Born Batteries globally. This covers most business-to-business markets and domestic contract manufacturing of the battery range products for sale by Stryten. It covers RV, heavy duty trucking, industrial solar integration, off-grid residential, and marine sectors.
“The addition of Dragonfly Energy’s Battle Born Batteries into our transportation product portfolio provides our customers access to a well-known brand of quality lithium batteries,” said Mike Judd, CEO and President of Stryten Energy. “With this partnership, Stryten now has a complete lithium battery portfolio to meet our customer needs across multiple industries.”
Stryten – which makes lead, lithium and redox flow batteries – will utilise the Advanced Manufacturing Production Credits tax break to accelerate its investment into domestic lithium battery assembly production.
It plans to source 100% of its lithium cells from the US lithium battery supply chain. Production will launch in early 2025 and will initially support Stryten’s military and industrial customers.
