Sungrow, a Chinese Photovoltaics inverter system solution supplier, has unveiled a lithium battery energy storage system (BESS) solution for the North America market.
The product debuted at the recent Energy Storage Association’s 27th Annual Conference and Expo in Denver, Colorado.
The batteries will be supplied by the Sungrow-Samsung SDI joint venture.
Sungrow’s BESS is provided to vary energy demands in residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications.
The BESS can be applied to peak-shaving, energy-shifting, demand charge management, renewable energy integration, and micro grid.
The 250kW-2/4 hours turnkey solution is specifically designed for C&I (Commercial and Industrial) projects in North America, consisting of SC250KU storage inverters, Samsung 198S lithium battery packs, and BMS&EMS (Battery Management System & Energy Management System) software.
It features a small footprint, flexible installation, easy O&M (Operations and Maintenance), and powerful grid functions. It can be configured from 250KW to 1MW and 10 years warranty, says the firm.
