Greek battery company Sunlight Group said it was awarded the EcoVadis gold medal in recognition of its commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices. The score reflects the quality of a company’s sustainability management system at the time of the assessment.
Sunlight achieved gold, putting it in the top 5% of companies rated. A year ago, it was in the top 35%, earning it a bronze medal.
CEO Lampros Bisalas said: “For us, doing the right thing and making a positive impact is not just responsibility – it’s in our DNA and drives all our decisions.”
He added the award reflects how the company approaches its work, treats its people, collaborates with partners and honours clients.
The company is involved in lead-acid and lithium-ion battery technology.
