Sunotec and Sungrow have signed a strategic agreement to deploy 2.4GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across multiple solar power projects throughout Europe.
The portfolio comprises several large-scale developments, including installations in Bulgaria supported by the nation’s RESTORE programme. These will become flagship projects – among the largest and most sophisticated energy storage systems in Bulgaria and Europe to date. Sunotec has selected Sungrow to supply its PowerTitan 2.0 BESS, known internationally for its utility-scale capabilities. Additionally, the SG350HX-20 string inverter and Sungrow’s MVS will support a hybrid PV and ESS installation within the scope of this agreement.
This marks the first BESS deployment in Bulgaria using Sungrow’s systems and reflects Sunotec’s commitment to integrating flexible, intelligent energy systems within its infrastructure strategy.
“The global energy transition depends not only on how much renewable power we produce, but on how intelligently we manage and store it,” said Kaloyan Velichkov, founder and CEO of Sunotec. “This partnership with Sungrow reflects our shared ambition to lead the next chapter of clean energy – by building resilient, storage-enabled infrastructure that brings stability, sustainability and scale to markets across Europe and beyond.”
The initiative will help stabilise the grid, enhance solar energy reliability, and promote deeper renewable integration across Europe.
