Sunrise New Energy has announced two significant developments that strengthen its position in the global energy storage sector.
The company has been granted a patent for its silicon-carbon composite fast-charging technology. This innovation is designed to enhance fast-charging lithium-ion batteries and solid-state battery anode materials. This patented technology tackles critical challenges in silicon-carbon composite anodes during fast charging and high-rate use, overcoming issues such as interfacial instability, limited ion transport efficiency, and rapid capacity fade.
In parallel, Sunrise (Guizhou) New Energy Materials, a subsidiary of the company, has signed an annual supply agreement with Shanghai Pylon Technologies (Pylontech). Under the contract, Sunrise will supply 5,000 tons of high-performance anode materials, valued at $15.1 million.
The signing of this agreement marks Sunrise’s formal entry into the European energy storage supply chain and establishes a strategic partnership with a global leader. The company said that it will leverage its advanced R&D capabilities and production capacity in anode materials to ensure stable and high-quality supply to Pylontech, while continuing to expand collaboration with global energy storage enterprises to further enhance its international market footprint.
