Battery maker Ultralife Corp has brought out a 24V lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack suitable for lightweight motorised applications and data back-up.
The URB24200 is a secondary (rechargeable) battery pack. Voltage is an average 25.6V, while rated capacity is 20Ah. Two batteries can be connected in series to produce 48V and up to 10 can be connected in parallel, taking capacity to 228Ah.
The pack is lighter than lead-acid. “Ultralife is adding to its portfolio of SLA replacement packs with its first 24V option,” said Robert Brown, marketing executive at Ultralife. “This allows us to expand further into robotics, energy storage and other traditional lead-acid markets.”
