Viridi has been named a key energy ecosystem partner in Schneider Electric’s Accelerating Resilient Infrastructure Initiative.
This nationwide programme brings together over 20 organisations – including Microsoft, Sunrock, Zurich and AlphaStruxure – to fast-track deployment of resilient clean energy systems across the US.
The partnership will support microgrid development for a wide range of applications, from compact installations to hyperscale data centres. With ageing infrastructure, extreme weather, rising AI-driven demand, and cyber threats straining the grid, the collaboration aims to deliver enhanced safety, reliability and performance.
Viridi’s American-made, FEOC-compliant BESS will be integrated into Schneider Electric’s global platform. Its proprietary anti-propagation technology, designed to prevent thermal runaway and lithium-ion fires, positions Viridi’s systems among the safest and most versatile available.
Customers will benefit from accelerated sustainability and compliance goals, while leveraging federal incentives such as the 30% Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and an additional 10% bonus for US-manufactured content. Combined with Energy-as-a-Service financing, these advantages reduce costs and speed deployment.
“This partnership marks a pivotal step forward in defining how resilient microgrids are designed and deployed,” said Jon M. Williams, CEO of Viridi. “By combining Schneider Electric’s deep expertise in microgrid integration with Viridi’s safest-in-class battery systems, we can deliver energy solutions that meet the most stringent safety standards without compromising performance or speed.”
Viridi’s BESS is already in use at sites including the United States Military Academy at West Point, Oak Ridge National Lab, Cornell University, and major public venues across North America.
