Pure Lithium Corp. announced that it has formed a partnership with industry-leading battery analytics and quality control specialists Voltaiq.
This is a significant step for Pure Lithium as it moves into new facilities in Chicago to begin prototyping ahead of full commercial production.
Using Voltaiq’s Enterprise Battery Intelligence platform will allow Pure Lithium to improve quality control and analytics, accelerating the process of driving its next-generation lithium metal battery to market.
Pure Lithium is commercialising a next-generation battery that significantly outperforms the incumbent lithium-ion battery.
Led by Founder and CEO Emilie Bodoin, the company has created the first commercially viable lithium metal battery, a more energy efficient and energy dense, lighter, safer and less expensive alternative to the lithium-ion batteries that dominate the global market today.

The company say this is not a matter of optimising existing battery technology to squeeze out incremental improvements; it is reinventing everything from the materials used to the methods of production.

Voltaiq is the industry leader in battery quality analytics software, with a platform that can test battery capabilities far more quickly and catch battery defects weeks sooner than other quality control methods.
Pure Lithium previously tested all of its batteries in-house, a time-consuming and labor-intensive process. As Pure Lithium moves from R&D to building out its first pilot line, the Voltaiq platform will significantly decrease the amount of time that the company spends on the testing phase before it can begin shipping sample cells to customers, and will allow Pure Lithium’s battery makers to focus on production.
