US energy storage company XL Batteries has announced the addition of three senior executives in engineering, manufacturing and finance to move the company move its organic flow battery technology towards commercial scale.
Meryl Mallery is the new Executive Vice President of Engineering. She will lead the engineering team to build the company’s battery product. Murray has over 35 years of engineering experience leading teams in aerospace, military and clean energy industries. More recently she was the Vice President of engineering at Plug Power.
Seqwana T Pryor, PhD has joined as the new executive Vice President of Chemical Manufacturing. She will oversee the scaling of the firm’s proprietary organic flow battery chemistry. Pryor has more than 25 years of experience as a senior level technical and engineering manager at advanced manufacturing process technology organisations. The previous post she held at DuPont was as Global Manufacturing Technology Leader, Electronics and Industrial.
Michael Rubino has joined the company as CFO. An experienced financial executive with strong operations background, he has worked with several domestic and international high-growth technology companies and has a strong record of raising capital from both private and public market sources. As CFO, he has helped three companies go public.
Recently the company was successful in commissioning it’s organic flow battery via a paid pilot with Stolthaven Terminals, a global provider of storage services for bulk liquids and gases. XL Batteries is now planning to show its commercial-scale fitness with selected partners.
