Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Just when you’d heard enough about exploding phones and other devices, an American physicist has emerged with a solution that seems to break the laws of physics when it comes to lithium-ion batteries.
Simply trademark and claim you have a patent and the wonders of the Internet do the rest.
The answer to safer lithium-ion charging isn’t a better battery management system or a even a non-flammable electrolyte but simply reducing electrical resistance to ‘zero” claims Irvine, California based Richard Dellacona.
So you’re thinking perhaps drop your smartphone into liquid nitrogen for a cool -273C? Not exactly. The company behind this idea, called “Inventi” claimed its all done with magnets with its trademarked “Hyperflow” and “Thor” technology does the rest.
“Hmm not much in the scientific literature to substantiate all this,” you might say, and indeed you’d be right. A battery with an internal resistance of zero? Well it would make modelling batteries so much simpler! No pesky Randles equations to solve.
Here at BBB, we’ve come up with a novel solution… It’s called Porky’s theorem……….
