EUROBAT, the association of European automotive and industrial battery manufacturers, has launched a completely new website to further its reach to its important stakeholders, from policy-makers to end-users.
The site is built around the numerous applications that automotive and industrial batteries power and the benefits they offer in terms of ensuring mobility and providing energy storage and supply continuity.
The website uses videos, high quality imagery and animations to give visitors a more compelling and appealing experience.
The connection between batteries – lithium-, lead-, nickel- and sodium-based – and their applications to the current EU legislation and initiatives such as the Green Deal, as well as their contribution to the EU’s decarbonisation goals, is a red thread throughout the new website.
EUROBAT director communications and stewardship, Gert Meylemans, said: “With this new website, we want to reach out to all of our important stakeholders, from policy-makers to end-users. Now that batteries are ‘top-of-mind’ amongst a lot of people and organisations, we decided to add some more general ‘B2C’ content.
“While the policy files we work on and EU themes we cover are undoubtedly still the most important sections on the website, we also added a ‘Batteries 101’ section to explain how batteries work, where they come from and the benefits they bring. Today, people take batteries for granted and forget what a world without batteries would look like.”
