German vanadium redox flow battery (VRB) company Vandadis Power has been recognised for its business strategy within the energy storage market.
The company won the 2015 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Competitive Strategy Innovation and Leadership Based on Frost & Sullivan’s recent analysis of the energy storage market.
Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents the award to the company that has successfully executed a competitive strategy that resulted in stronger market share, competitive brand positioning and customer satisfaction.
Vanadis’ turn key VRB has the flexibility to scale up storage capacity, with the company able to deliver a 90KW/120KWh system in a 20′ shipping container, as a plug-and-play system.
Funded by long-term private equity, Vandadis has partnerships with Rongke Power to manufacture stacks, Bolong New Materials (BNM) to produce its proprietary electrolyte, and UniEnergy Technologies (UET) which has designed and engineered and is manufacturing its vanadium battery.
Vanadis’ partnership with Rongke Power in Asia-Pacific led to a joint venture of Robert Bosch GmbH and the citizen-owned wind park BWP Braderup-Tinningstedt to deliver 325KW, 1MWh VRB energy storage solution for a wind farm in Germany.
It also partnered with UniEnergy Technologies (UET) in the US, who claims its vanadium electrolyte chemistry has twice the energy density of competing chemistries and an electrolyte stability from -40°C to +50°.
Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards recognise companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development.
Vanadis Power GmbH founded in 2013 is located in Nuremberg, Germany and focuses on business development, sales, project execution and service for Vanadium Redox Flow batteries from UET and Rongke Power.
