American Energy Storage Innovations (AESI) has brought out an online design tool, TeraStor Configurator, which it said can help design energy storage solutions in a few minutes.
The company’s Deanna O’Donnell said the idea is to simplify configuration.
The tool uses prismatic LFP cells and allows users to explore a wide range of options and add custom project parameters for system power, discharge duration, energy capacity, service life and more input data. It can generate cost estimates tailored to the configuration.
Technically it is possible to see the estimated degradation curve and augmentation schedule for the project over time, for a clear depiction of the expected capacity at any point in time up to 20 years in the future.
Bud Collins, CEO of AESI said the tool makes it easy to estimate the right TeraStor configuration for a specific project’s needs.
AESI designs, develops, and manufactures systems for renewable energy storage and optimisation of energy management. Over the coming months, it will be rolling out many tool enhancements including additional parameters and 3D visualisation.
