Cummins Power Generation has unveiled a new line-up of gensets, including four smaller gensets based on its proprietory QSB7 and QSL9 engines and a 2 MW mobile unit.
The four, smaller genset models’ capacities are 175 kW, 200 kW, 275 kW and 300 kW. Customer feedback was incorporated in the criteria for the new generators.
The result of this has been more efficient generators. The 175 kW and 200 kW generator sets feature the Cummins’ QSB7 engine, a 6.7-litre six-cylinder platform and have optional dual circuit breakers with identical ampacity trip settings.
The new 275 kW and 300 kW generators are based on the QSL9 engine and have improved cold-starting performance. These new units are added to the company’s existing data centre range of diesel and gas fuelled engines, Cummins said.
The new 2 MW mobile generator is aimed at the North American rental market. The 60 Hz C2000D6RG unit, based on Cummins’ QSK60 engine, is an integrated mobile power generation system for standby and prime power applications. The unit includes a cooling system designed for operation in extreme temperatures and a 1631-gallon dual-walled fuel tank.
