Cummins Power Generation is supplying 2.4MW of prime power to a camp in the West Qurna Oilfield in Basra that homes 400 employees of Lukoil, a Russian oil producer.
Cummins’ distributor in Iraq, Modern Iraq Company for Trading Agencies (MICTA), has supplied 2.4MW power to the 20 000 square metre site using four C825 D5 enclosed diesel generator sets with QSK23 G3 engines.
As a residential camp air quality and noise levels had to be addressed by way of installation of Power Command PCC3201P control, paralleling, switchgear, low-voltage synchronisation board, fuel tanks and pipes.
This is the second project of its kind MICTA and Cummins have worked on with Lukoil.
