The 19th Asian Battery Conference and Exhibition (19ABC) is a major global event in the industry with delegates attending from over 65 countries, representing over 300 companies.
Virtual 19ABC will be a new and exciting interactive experience. We will bring you the great content, speakers and networking you have come to expect, but in new ways, all while providing technical knowledge, celebrating industry success, announcing new products and services and building and supporting our unique 19ABC family.
The 19ABC has been rescheduled to 2 –5 November 2021 from its original publicised dates to ensure the safety and well-being of attendees, partners and staff.
Mark Stevenson, event chairman, said: “By shifting the dates out by two months, we hope for the world to be in a better place with Covid-19 and we head towards some normality. The date change maximises the opportunity that we can all come together for a truly great event in the safest possible way.”
Organisers are continually monitoring the situation, and in the event, Covid-19 continues to be a global health concern and continues to disrupt international travel we will take the necessary action to ensure the safety of attendees remains our priority.

The organisers wrote: “While we were optimistic that moving 19ABC from September to November 2021 would enable us to host the physical event we all know and love attending, the concerns for the health and safety of our delegates has forced us to reconsider that plan. The Management team has continually monitored and assessed the situation, but with the continuing pandemic, closure of many International borders, and the enormous disruption to travel has just increased those concerns for the welfare of our delegates.
“We are sharing this decision as quickly as possible since the Conference has many sponsors and exhibitors already signed up for the live event planned in Kuching.
“In true ABC tradition, we plan on delivering an exceptional virtual event experience for all sponsors, exhibitors, delegates and speakers. Our efforts now move to design a creative and well thought out virtual 19ABC where we continue to bring you the great content, speakers and networking you have come to expect, but in new ways, all the while still providing deep technical education and insights.”
Details regarding the virtual event will be announced in the coming weeks but expect the event to be delivered on the same dates 2 – 5 November 2021.
“We are truly disappointed not being able to host 19ABC physically this year, and it is a decision we have not been taken lightly. In consultation with many groups, including feedback from the host city, the possibility of having to cancel the live event with little notice was far too great. Our aim and focus now are to deliver a stellar virtual experience that reflects what the industry has come to expect from an ABC Conference. We will be excitedto share all the details with you shortly”.
