Lithium and nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable battery company Highpower International, Inc., has announced that the company has received an initial testing order for its 10kWh lithium-based energy storage system (ESS).
The news follows the recent roll out of its first series of commercial ready off-grid energy storage system products.
The 10kWh energy storage system is comprised of four lithium battery modules, a 5kW solar inverter, and a solar controller, coupled with built-in wireless data transmission, remote monitoring, and comprehensive protective features for safety.
“Our new enterprise customer will integrate a solar panel with our 10kWh battery management system, and the whole system will be used in residential stand-alone power source areas,” commented Bryan Bai, vice president of sales at Highpower International. “Our system will be tested and modified for further configuration and optimization before mass commercialization. This order bolsters our confidence about our opportunities in the large scale energy storage space,” he added.
