Flow-Rite, a US-based battery watering company, has been awarded ETL approval for its Eagle Eye electrolyte sensor range. The approval comes from independent testing laboratory Intertek and shows the sensor conforms to ANSI/UL Std. 61010-1 and Cert. to CAN/CSA Std. C22 No. 61010-1.
“In our commitment to higher standards, we are proud to announce that our Eagle Eye line of sensors has ETL approval,” says Rick Mavrakis, Executive Vice President for Flow-Rite. “The original design did not need to be altered to be accepted and featured with the ETL Listed Mark.”
The Eagle Eye sensor accurately monitors and displays the status of cell electrolyte levels with an indicative light to inform the user. Using patented capacitive sensing technology, as found in electronics with touch screen technology, Eagle Eye can measure electrolyte levels without running current through the sensing probe. This eliminates the potential of corrosion between the plates and the probe.
Receiving the ETL mark shows product compliance to safety standards in North America.
