The Hammond Group has appointed Dr Marvin Ho as VP of research and development.
Dr Ho is an electrochemist with more than 25 years of experience in energy storage technologies from in his work with the Trojan Battery Company and CSB Battery Technologies – now part of Hitachi Chemical Energy Technology Co.
Dr Ho, who is from Taiwan, received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of South Carolina.
In his 13 years with Trojan, Dr Ho’s achievements included setting up an advanced material centre in Europe to develop novel materials for next generation energy storage technology. He also worked with international research institutes on developing new materials for lead-acid battery technology.
