Californian company Maxwell Technologies has appointed Michael Finger as the company’s senior vice president of global sales.
The appointment will see the ultracapacitor firm pushing to expand its customer base in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
This week the firm also announced a deal which will see its ultracapacitor-based Engine Start Module (ESM) factory-installed, rather than as an aftermarket solution, in truck OEM Kenworth’s vehicles.
The ESMs can replace lead-acid in the batteries electrical system to perform truck engine cranking in temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to +149 degrees Fahrenheit, even when batteries are drained.
