Powerit Solutions, a Seattle-based cleantech company, has released an energy management tool which is the latest version of its demand management cloud product – the Spara Hub.
The latest version has an analytics and reporting application to allow users to make a tailored demand management solution. It works by gathering data from meters to simulate demand and forecast problems of spikes in usage and highlighting load-shifting opportunities for energy saving opportunites.
The diagnostic tool can be used with energy monitoring and reporting platforms or as a stand-alone service. It allows users to compare energy usage from multiple sites to highlight demand visibility.
Powerit CEO, Kevin Klustner said the device draws on real-world demand management experience to give a clear picture of demand and consumption — tailored to energy-intensive businesses — to lower costs.
The Demand Diagnostics offers smart grid connectivity; advanced demand analytics to evaluate energy usage to asses demand management potential; load control simulation to estimate costs and savings; and online access to all energy data.
