The 2025 editions of Battery Recycling, E-Waste World, Metal Recycling, and ITAD & Circular Electronics Conferences & Expos drew a record-breaking crowd to Messe Frankfurt on 11–12 June, highlighting the growing global momentum behind circular economy innovation.
With more than 4,000 professionals from over 75 countries in attendance, the co-located events delivered two days of high-impact dialogue, cutting-edge technology showcases, and strategic insight. Over 300 exhibitors and 200+ expert speakers shared the latest advancements in e-waste processing, critical raw materials recovery, and secure IT asset disposition (ITAD), with battery recycling emerging as a key focus area.
Battery Recycling featured a presentation from the FutuRaM project by Franziska Maisel and Max Tippner. Their analysis projected Europe’s battery waste stream through 2050, highlighting lithium recovery potential and updates to the Urban Mine Platform. EU battery regulations and the upcoming Digital Battery Passport were also central to discussions, reinforcing the urgency of scalable, compliant recycling solutions.
Amanda Tring, Head of Marketing at Trans-World Events, commented, “The 2025 edition surpassed expectations on every front – from international reach to industry depth. Seeing more than 4,000 unique professionals from around the world converge in Frankfurt shows that momentum in the circular economy is no longer just building – it’s accelerating.”
With 87.3% growth in pre-registration in the final three weeks and over 60% conversion to onsite attendance, the event underscored surging global interest in circular economy solutions. Senior executives, including CEOs and presidents, made up the largest share of attendees, with strong representation from Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
From packed panel sessions to the EBMI Party Night, the expo fostered a spirit of collaboration and bold thinking. The message was clear: circular economy innovation is no longer on the sidelines – it’s at the heart of strategic growth.
The 2026 edition will return to Messe Frankfurt, Hall 3, on 17–18 June 2026.
