Saudi Arabia’s Alkhorayef Group has signed an exclusive importer and distributor agreement for its proprietary heavy-duty generator sets in the Qatari market with Almuftah Group.
The gensets, marketed in Saudi Arabia under the brand name Gulf Power, combine diesel engines from John Deere and Volvo Penta with alternators from Stamford. They are assembled by Alkhorayef Industries at its manufacturing facility in Riyadh.
The signing of the agreement also marked the establishment of Almuftah Group’s new division, Almuftah Technology, to market the gensets to customers in Qatar, as well as providing after-sales service and original spare parts, including manufacturing warranty.
Gulf Power’s line of gensets can provide power capacities between 30kVA and 750kVA. The Gulf Power gensets will be available in Qatar from April 15 when Almuftah Technology’s showroom in Barwa Village, Al Wakrah, opens its doors to the public.
