FEV to open development and test centre for modules and high voltage EV batteries

Vehicle and powertrain engineering company FEV Group is set to finalise the commissioning of a state-of-the-art battery development and test centre (eDLP) in Germany.

The facility for the electrical testing of modules and complete high-voltage batteries for electric vehicles is due to be completed in Sandersdorf-Brehna, Saxony-Anhalt, during the third quarter of the year.

UK real-world test environment facility to streamline EV battery development

A UK facility dedicated to streamlining the test and validation stages of emerging electric vehicle battery module technologies has been opened by powertrain specialists Mahle Powertrain.

The facility in Northampton will specialise in electrified powertrain battery pack and module testing and development in real-world environments.

Consortium on target to hit lead-acid 48V emissions goal

Claims that a 48V lead-carbon powertrain architecture can help OEMs meet emission requirements of near term next generation vehicles is set to be proven within months.

The ADEPT (advanced diesel-electric powertrain) consortium programme is due to demonstrate its advanced mild hybrid technologies with 48V ‘intelligent electrification’ this September.
